Who will set up a new home?
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/22/13Tip of the Day: A big question among brides and grooms who will set up a new home, or move in together after the wedding, is how to combine His and Her stuff. One smart solution is to give up on the idea that everything has to be combined in every space. Bookshelves surrounding a window can be his on one side, and yours on the other, with your unique collections, books and framed photos providing an eclectic look.
"revisit"
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/21/13Tip of the Day: When you're newlyweds, you can "revisit" your big day by incorporating small elements from your celebration in your everyday life. If you had lily of the valley in your bouquet, include some sprigs in a small floral centerpiece set on the dining room table for a romantic dinner. Play your first dance song on your iPod dock. Make your signature cocktail again to share together or serve to guests. So many pieces of your big day can make every day extra special.
Jewelry
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/20/13Tip of the Day: Try on all of your jewelry during your gown fitting. This will not only give you a better sense of your overall look, but also allow you to test out your earrings and necklace to make sure they don't snag on your veil. This is one pre-ceremony mishap that's easy to avoid!
Getting married in the summertime?
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/17/13Tip of the Day: Getting married in the summertime? Arrange for servers to walk around offering not just trays of appetizers, but pretty footed glasses of ice water in different flavors. For example, each ice water glass can have slices of lemon, lime, or cucumber for a refreshing drink guests will love. Or accent each glass with a spear of fresh, ice-cold grapes
exchange gifts
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/16/13Tip of the Day: When will you and your groom exchange gifts? Many couples have their gifts delivered to their one and only on the morning of the wedding, but now it’s becoming a trend to exchange gifts at the rehearsal dinner so that reactions can be seen and thank you kisses enjoyed.
Cakes Cost
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/15/13Tip of the Day: Instead of a car or football shape, grooms’ cakes cost a lot less when they are square, sporting an image on top made from edible ink (such as a monogram, sports logo or even a photo from a digital image). Or you can top the cake with a toy motorcycle or other fun item.
In-laws are driving you crazy
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/14/13Tip of the Day: If your in-laws are driving you crazy about the wedding plans, don't tell everyone in the world about it (especially not your parents). It may feel comforting to complain about that rude thing his MIL just said to you, but keep in mind that you're going to have to combine both of your families in the future...and your loved ones may not forgive and forget the hassles they gave you. So make it a rule not to vent about each other's personal issues to others, in order to keep the peace.
Trust in Him
by Dr David Gonzales DD, Pastor-Father on 05/13/13God is saying if we will keep our trust in Him, He will always make a way even though it looks like there is no way. He will give you strength for every battle, wisdom for every decision.
